IAS officer breaks down inside hospital after meeting accident victims; Watch heartbreaking video

IAS officer and Lucknow DC Roshan Jacob broke down inside a hospital after seeing the condition of an injured child and his mother. The heartbreaking video of the Divisional Commissioner for Lucknow has brought tears to the eyes of internet users.

According to sources, at least 10 people were killed and 41 injured after a private bus collided head-on with a mini-truck in Lakhimpur Kheri, on the Aira bridge on the National Highway 730 around 30 kilometres from the district headquarters. 

After getting the news of the accident, DC Roshan Jacob visited the hospital and interacted with the accident victims. During the interaction, she met a woman and her child and became emotional.

In the video that is now going viral, the IAS officer can be seen struggling to hold back tears as she consoles the child who was injured in the accident.

Trying to hold her tears, she calls for a doctor and asks as to why no one had checked in on him yet. Soon after the video was uploaded on Twitter, the IAS officer received praise for her humanity.

A user wrote, “We need to have more of such empathetic administrators & officers to make difference on the ground. Very heart warming example she has set for others in the sad incident. God bless her with empathetic heart always!!”

Another user wrote, “We make our child so that India can have 10000% of officials in common man with such humanity.”

Similarly, a third user wrote, “Excellent upbringing… salute to her parents for gifting India such a rare gem.. If had 10% of IAS like her India would have been in different league… All the best officer… We need more and more people like you in the system.”
