A bone-chilling video of a huge hippopotamus appearing from nowhere while three kids were enjoying swimming has sent shivers down people’s spines. Although the kids managed to escape, the hair-raising encounter between the hippo and the kids has left the internet terrified.
The video starts with three little boys swimming and having fun in a murky water body. As the boys laugh and enjoy, a hippo appears in the water out of nowhere, sending the boys into a frenzy. Fortunately, all three boys managed to escape and save themselves.
The throwback video first shared on Facebook has been once again going viral on Twitter now. Sharing the video, the user wrote, “Three boys almost getting into trouble with a hippo while swimming. Fortunately, both the hippo and the boys fled in opposite directions after getting a proper fright.”

Although the exact location of the video is not ascertained, it is believed to be from Africa.
Since being shared on Twitter, the video has garnered over 1.6M views with 12.5 likes and 1574 retweets.
“It’s like you go to someone’s home and suddenly the owner shows up from another room,” commented a user.

In another video, a hippo can be seen coming out of nowhere and attacking a group of tourists who are travelling in a boat.
