To what extent can a person go to help their loved ones? Well, this varies from person to person. People often provide emotional, physical, and financial support to their loved ones during difficult times. Individuals also don’t hesitate to sacrifice their own desires, time, resources, and life for the well-being and happiness of their partner.

However, recently, a young man was in the headlines after he attempted to help his girlfriend. And, his act has left everyone shocked and tickled their funny bones.

As per reports, the youth Angrez Singh, hailing from Punjab’s Fazilka, took his commitment to his girlfriend to a completely new level to achieve his relationship goal. Singh impersonated his girlfriend, Paramjit Kaur to appear in her multi-purpose health workers exam held by Baba Farid University of Health and Sciences.

DAV Public School on Sikhanwala Road on Sikhanwala Road, Kotkapura was the designated exam centre and the exam was on January 7

Singh sported a bindi, lipstick, red bangles, and a salwar kameez to impersonate Kaur. He went to the exam centre to help his girlfriend out. He managed to enter the exam hall. He also carried two identity cards- a voter card and an Aadhaar card.

However, the officials in the exam hall got suspicious as the picture of Paramjeet Kaur on the exam hall ticket didn’t match the candidate's face.

Hindustan Times quoted the university’s vice-chancellor, Dr Rajeev Sood as saying, “His appearance and conduct raised suspicion.”

Later, biometrics was done to authenticate the identity of the candidate in question. However, the biometrics available in the records didn’t match the candidate.

“The examiners collected his fingerprints for a biometric check. As his fingerprints did not match, we handed him over to the police,” added Sood.

Angrez Singh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree but is unemployed. He was booked under Section 419-B (cheating by impersonation) of the Indian Penal Code at Kotkapura City police station. However, he was released on bail the same day. Meanwhile, the Varsity authorities suspended Kaur’s exam application.

While BFUHS authorities have raised concerns over the incident and suspect that the accused could be part of a larger racket, Singh has become a source of memes. Social media is buzzing with amusement.
