A high-voltage drama unfolded during marriage after a police team intercepted a groom and his baraat just before entering the wedding venue on the complaint of the groom’s alleged first wife.

Later, the bride’s family cancelled the wedding after they came to know about the groom’s first marriage.

According to a Dainik Bhaskar report, the incident took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki.

Reportedly, the wedding of the groom, a resident of Dhanora Thakuran in Ram Sanehi Ghat, was fixed with a girl from Lakhimpur.

On the scheduled date of the marriage, the groom along with his baarat reached the KP Banquet Hall, where the wedding was to take place. However, before the groom could enter the wedding venue, Kotwali Sadar Police reached there and detained him on the complaint of his first wife.

Reportedly, the groom had alleged married another girl in November 2015.

A year after their marriage, there was a dispute between the couple. Following this, the groom’s first wife filed a case against him in Mall police station in Lucknow.

However, the couple was not separated officially and the woman was still his legal wife. When she came to know about the groom’s second wedding, she informed the police and reached the venue with them to stop the wedding.

Meanwhile, the bride's family was completely unaware of the groom’s first marriage. After learning about it, they immediately called off the wedding and filed a complaint against the groom and his family. They also demanded the groom’s side to return Rs 11 lakh that they had taken from the bride’s family.
