People perform ‘Garba’ on flooded roads in Gujarat
Heavy rain battered Gujarat over the past week and triggered a flood-like situation in the western state. With several rivers and water reservoirs overflowing, many low-lying areas are under knee-deep water.
As many as 35 lives have been lost in the rain with more than 8500 residents being relocated and rescued. Amidst the tragedy, the floods have failed to lessen Gujaratis’ love for Garba. Yes, you read that right! A video of a group of people performing ‘Garba’ in full spirit on the flooded roads of Vadodara has gone viral on social media.
The viral video shows people in knee-deep water performing ‘Garba’, finding time to celebrate amidst the natural disaster. Music is played on the speaker in the background as people enjoy themselves amid loud cheers.
When people become this level of Andh Bhakt, then why any politician will do work ?

No sympathy for these kind of people who never question people in power. #GujaratFlood #Modi #GujaratRains

The video most probably recorded during Janmashtami also shows a group of people preparing for 'dahi handi' event. A man can be seen tying a pot on a rope decorated with balloons, while others dance and celebrate on the flooded road.
Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted more rainfall for Gujarat as a new low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal is likely to bring more rain to Gujarat. On the other hand, hundreds of crocodiles and other sea animals were sighted in various parts of the city after the flood.
Overflowing rivers have led to the reptiles venturing into human settlements, causing panic among the people. Several crocodiles have been spotted resting on house roofs and on streets.
