Kedarnath Temple is one of the most attractive and religious sites in India. Due to extreme weather conditions, the temple is open for devotees only between April and November.

So, lakhs of devotees trek 22km from Gaurikund to reach the temple. While there are devotees who travel all the way to worship ‘the Lord of Kedarkhand’, a few instagrammers and social media users have made it a trend to show off on social media.

Many are going to the holy place only to shoot videos and make reels. There are several videos of people doing unwanted things in the holy place.

Meanwhile, a video of a girl proposing to her boyfriend at Kedarnath has gone viral. The video shows a young couple offering prayers to Lord Shiva. Both, dressed in yellow dresses, look adorable and complement each other well.

However, before the boyfriend can understand anything, the girl gets on her knees and proposes him with a ring. A surprised boyfriend then becomes emotional and the couple can be then seen sharing a tight hug.

The adorable video was shared on Instagram and has been receiving mixed reactions from people. While a section of social media users thought the proposal was more than adorable, others reacted that such videos were affecting the holiness of Kedarnath. Many are of the opinion that these videos were only to get likes on Instagram.

Sharing the video, the Instagram user wrote, “Today was the day which came true after so much of planning (matching clothes, ring size, travel plans) and thoughts (landsides, heavy rain, cold).” (sic)
