The entire country is drenched in the festive fervour of Dussehra or Vijayadasami. After celebrating Navratri, people are observing the tenth day, Dussehra/Vijayadashami with pomp and grandeur. Dusshera holds immense significance for Hindus across the world as it is a celebration of the eternal victory of good over evil and knowledge and righteousness over ignorance. 

While Goddess Durga slayed buffalo demon Mahishasura, Lord Ram killed Demon King Ravana and rescued Devi Sita on this day. As per tradition, Goddess Durga's idols are worshipped across the country on pandals and Demon King Ravana's effigy is burned to celebrate the victory of Lord Ram. This festival is celebrated every year and people across the country remain highly excited about it.

Here we bring two old videos without which Dussehra is probably incomplete. These viral videos surface every year on social media leaving netizens amused and rolling on the floors, laughing. These videos showing 'when Ravan Dahan went wrong' will definitely make you recall the incidents.

The first video shows a Ravana's effigy on the ground, surrounded by a crowd. The person enacting Lord Ram lits the effigy and it starts burning. However, the firecrackers in the effigy fly towards the crowd. While the crowd scatters in all directions to avoid the firecrackers, the person who lit the fire is seen escaping the spot. The crackers continue to burst and fly towards the crowd for a long time.

While the source of the video couldn't be obtained, it is re-shared on X by Govind Pratap Singh with a caption reading,  "Without this video, Dussehra is incomplete." (sic)

The second video shows a crowd waiting for Ravan Dahan. However, when the fire is lit, the effigy instantly blows off. The massive fire leaves the crowd scared and thrilled. People standing close to the effigy disperse with panic. The massive fire creates the illusion of a bomb explosion.
