Snake
In a video that has stunned the internet and sent shivers down spines, a man remained astonishingly calm as a massive king cobra, one of the world’s most venomous snakes, slowly slithered over his body while he lay motionless on a bed. The nerve-wracking moment, believed to have been filmed in Uttarakhand, India, has gone viral, captivating viewers across social media platforms.
The now-viral footage opens with the cobra making its way across the man’s outstretched legs. What’s jaw-dropping is not just the appearance of the deadly reptile — it’s the man’s extraordinary composure. He doesn't flinch, scream, or try to escape. Instead, he observes the snake with a stillness that can only be described as fearless — or perhaps frozen in disbelief.
As the cobra continues its journey up his body, the man even manages to turn the camera toward his own face and smile, adding an eerie twist to an already intense moment. When the snake slithers close to his neck and makes direct eye contact, tension peaks — and that’s when the man suddenly leaps off the bed in a split-second reaction.
Interestingly, the king cobra does not react aggressively at any point during the encounter. Despite the man’s late panic, the snake remains still, making no threatening gestures. Experts often advise that sudden movements can provoke snakes, and perhaps his initial calm helped prevent an attack.
Social media erupted with commentary as the video spread.
“Why’s bro chill about it?” one user quipped.
“Not the snake saying ‘peekaboo’ at the end,” joked another.
“Bro must have travelled in Mumbai trains to remain that calm,” a witty comment read.
Others were simply horrified: “I ran out of my room watching this!”
The king cobra, native to India and Southeast Asia, holds the title of the world’s longest venomous snake, reaching up to 18 feet. Known for its threatening hood and ability to raise a third of its body off the ground, the king cobra can strike fear in even the bravest hearts.
