Recently, a video went viral showing a unique proposal at the Olympics.

At the Paris Olympics, Chinese badminton player Huang Yaqiong received a marriage proposal from her teammate after winning a gold medal.

Huang, who won the gold in mixed doubles, was proposed to by her boyfriend and fellow Chinese shuttler Liu Yuchen after the medal ceremony on August 2.

The La Chapelle Arena, where badminton matches were held, was packed with fans as Liu knelt down and proposed to Huang, creating an emotional scene. 

The crowd erupted with cheers, whistles, and applause when Liu pulled out the wedding ring and asked Huang to marry him.

The video shared on the Olympic Khel Instagram account, has garnered 4.5 million views and 409,000 likes. The caption read, “We’re not crying, you’re... ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฅฐ” and the comments reflect the excitement. 

“Indian Be like: 'Tu merese pyar karti hai ya nahi ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚,” commented a netizen while another wrote, “Olympic ne bana di jodi.”
