Chai Supremacy – Delhi man parks bus in the middle of road to grab a cup of tea

There is a Hindi saying – Angrez Chale gaye, lekin Chai Chood Gaye (The British have gone, but left behind chai (tea). Tea is not just a drink for Indians, it is an emotion. It resonates a feeling. Kadak adrak wali chai is something that can even change a person’s bad day.

Be it a good day or bad day, all important things are discussed over a cup of chai. Be it politics, heartbreaks, office gossips or movie dates, it is incomplete without chai. The hot drink simmered or boiled with equal parts of milk, water, sugar and loose-tea leaves is close to every Indian heart. People can go to any extent for a cup of chai and this driver has proved it right so.

Now, a video of a bus driver from Delhi, parking his four-wheeler in the middle of a busy road, only to grab a cup of tea, is going viral. The viral video has left social media users in splits.

In the video, we can see a city bus parked in the middle of the street. A man records the video and informs the viewers that the driver is busy grabbing a cup of tea.

“The driver has parked the vehicle in the middle of the road causing traffic for a cup of chai. Look at him,” says the man as he records the video and bursts out in laughter. Later, we see the driver emerging from a chai shop and walks towards the bus.

Interestingly, he does not throw away his tea cups even as other commuters keep honking. With the tea cup in one hand, he gets into the bus and sets off with the vehicle using the other hand.

The hilarious video has garnered over 113K likes after being shared on Instagram and attracted hilarious comments.

A user wrote, “It’s almost 2023. Everything is possible here. LOL,” while another user wrote, “Yeh Dilli Hai Mere Yaar.”

“Arey yaar, video viral mat karo, iski job chali jayegi,” wrote another user.
