A bride landed herself in trouble after she was caught riding a scooter without wearing a helmet. Though it was immediately not known if the bride reached her wedding destination on time or not, a challan reached her home.

Sharing the hilarious video, Delhi Police reminded netizens about the basic traffic rules and the repercussions one would face if not abiding by them.

In the viral video, a bride in her wedding attire can be seen riding a scooter. However, she isn’t wearing a helmet. It was not immediately known if the video was real or was made for Instagram. In the background, popular song ‘Vaari Vaari Jaaun’ from the movie Honeymoon Travels is heard.

Posting the video, Delhi Police wrote, “Going 'Vaari Vaari Jaaun' on the road for a REEL makes your safety a REAL WORRY! Please do not indulge in acts of BEWAKOOFIYAN! Drive safe.”

The first half of the video shows the bride while the second half features a challan dated June 10. It shows a fine of Rs 6,000 was imposed for violating two rules – driving a two-wheeler without a helmet, which carries a fine of Rs 1000 and driving without a licence, which carries a penalty of Rs 5,000.

Since being shared online, the video has garnered 57.4K views with 913 likes and 206 retweets.

“Much needed! With repeated offence book them under relevant ipc,” commented a user.

Another user commented, “Just wondering… how'd we know she was riding without a licence? Was she intercepted by the TP officer? Absolutely applaud the action taken by DTP! But, still the question stands…”

A third user wrote, “Sir there must be a heavier penalty on such people bcz they knew that they will recover challan amount from earning from social media platform.”
