A newlywed bride from Karnataka eloped with her lover just days after her wedding. The woman ran away with her jewellery worth lakhs, sources said.

According to a Daijiworld report, the incident took place in Karnataka’s Ullooru-74 village. 

Reportedly, the incident had taken place on June 16 but it came to light on July 12, after the woman’s husband filed a complaint in connection with the incident.

As per reports, the bride a resident of Kundapur Vaderahobali had married a youth from Ullooru-74 on May 21. Following this, the bride was at her in-laws’ house only for four days only. She was visiting her parents’ house often.

The youth also alleged that she used to speak to her lover every day on video calls. Even though he was objecting to his wife's relationship with her lover after their marriage she was not bothered at all. 

Reportedly, the bride used to openly admit that she was not interested in marrying him and that she will eventually marry her lover.

The youth also alleged that the bride’s parents and uncle knew about her affair but they had kept the same a secret and got her married to him.

In the complaint, the youth had accused the bride of taking away worth lakhs. He said she had taken a diamond necklace worth Rs 10 lakhs, diamond earrings, a diamond ring, a gold chain, gold bangles and a gold necklace of his mother also. 

Reportedly, when he objected to her taking away the jewellery the bride allegedly threatened him that she would file a case of harassment against him and his in-laws and send everyone to prison.

Meanwhile, a case has been filed at Shankaranarayana police station in this regard.
