Brave woman fights off robber, foils theft attempt; watch viral video

In an extraordinary act of bravery, a woman in Telangana successfully thwarted an attempted burglary by a masked robber at her residence. The dramatic incident, captured in the CCTV camera installed in the house, unfolded in the early hours of Sunday morning in Vemulawada Town, Rajanna Sircilla District, and quickly gained traction across social media platforms.

The heart-pounding video showcases the woman's courageous stand against an armed intruder, who menacingly wielded an iron rod poised to strike. The footage commences with the woman, alerted by her dog's alarmed barking, cautiously investigating the source of the disturbance. To her astonishment, she confronts a masked assailant lurking in the shadows, brandishing an iron rod he had appropriated from her garden.

Swiftly and skillfully, the woman evades the intruder's initial lunge, demonstrating remarkable composure. 

Undeterred, the perpetrator persists, launching a second aggressive assault. Amid the intense struggle, a curtain falls to the ground as the woman raises her voice, seeking to draw the attention of her neighbours. Frustrated by her steadfast resistance, the assailant's efforts prove fruitless, compelling a hasty retreat. 

Undaunted by the ordeal, the woman valiantly pursues the fleeing culprit, even hurling the very rod he had brandished mere moments earlier. Although her attempt to apprehend the intruder may not have immediately succeeded, her unwavering determination remains unmistakable.

Subsequently, the woman reported to the police that the robber had managed to abscond with her 7-gram gold chain.

Inspector Karunakar of Vemulawada Circle told NDTV that the robber made off with a 7-gram gold chain. 

Police have launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident, meticulously analyzing the CCTV footage in their quest to unmask the identity of the miscreant.

According to the police, the 40-year-old woman lives alone and manages a grocery shop.
