‘Better than America’: US Vlogger left awestruck by Gurugram’s cyber hub

PUBLISHED: LAST UPDATE:

A US travel vlogger's viral video showcases Gurugram's Cyber Hub, challenging stereotypes about India by comparing its modernity favorably to some American cities.

Place in Gurugram

A US travel vlogger has taken the internet by storm after sharing his jaw-dropping reaction to Gurugram’s upscale Cyber Hub. Known for its swanky cafes, corporate offices, and vibrant nightlife, the hub’s modern vibe left him comparing it to and even claiming it looks better than some American cities.

Shattering Stereotypes

In a now-viral video captioned “Dirty Polluted India has CLEAN Shopping Outlet that looks better than Miami”, the vlogger addressed common misconceptions about India. “India is not all slums, overpopulated and full of trash,” he said, while strolling through the bustling streets. Admitting there was “some air pollution,” he quickly added, “But hey, at least it’s looking like this. They got everything you could ask for.”

‘Looks Like America… Better!’

The vlogger, who runs the page vanboys222, couldn’t hide his excitement: “Yes, there are beautiful Indian women… I’ve been going to the wrong places. Look at this! Hey, this looks like America. Like better than America.” His candid take has won over Indian audiences, who appreciated his fresh perspective on urban India.

Netizens Chime In

Instagram users flooded the comments section, telling him Cyber Hub is just the tip of the iceberg. “It’s not even 1%, you gotta see it all, you’ll be amazed!” wrote one user. Another added, “India is way more beautiful than you think, except for a few crowded city spots due to our large population.”

From high-rise skylines to chic food courts, Cyber Hub gave this American traveller a whole new lens to view India, one far removed from outdated clichés.
