Bengaluru intern’s WhatsApp replies surprise CEO; here’s what happened
On social media, many things go viral, including both amusing and serious posts. Recently, a chat between a Bengaluru-based CEO, Karthik Sridharan, and an intern went viral.
Sridharan, co-founder and CEO of Flexiple, a global platform connecting tech professionals and employers—shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation with an intern.
In the chat, Sridharan asked, “Hey, what happened to you last Friday? I didn’t see you in the office.”
The intern responded, “Sorry, I took a leave because I had a meeting with a VC. My AI startup got funded, so I don’t need the internship anymore.”
Sharing this chat on X (formerly Twitter), the CEO captioned it, “This only happens in Bangalore.”
The post received mixed reactions. Many were impressed by the startup scene in Bengaluru, but others criticised the intern’s communication skills.
