India is a country where people from all walks of life, from highly talented individuals to those facing financial difficulties, coexist.

Unfortunately, there are cases where even educated and talented people find themselves in challenging situations, resorting to begging for survival.

One such recent incident has gained widespread attention on the internet after a Chennai-based content creator shared the life story of a woman named Merlin.

Merlin's story is both sad and uplifting. She could speak English well and said she was from Burma, Myanmar. She used to be a teacher there, teaching subjects like English, Math, and Tamil. But when she married an Indian man, she had to stay in India forever.

Then, something very sad happened. Her husband and other family members passed away, leaving her, an 81-year-old woman, alone in life.

In her own words, she explained, "We came here, later all of them died! So I have to eat for myself. I must fill my stomach, right? I just beg." These words touch the hearts of those who hear them.

The conversation between Merlin and the influencer, Mohamed Ashik was shared online, prompting the latter create an Instagram page in her honour, naming it 'English With Merlin.'

This page quickly gained a following of 568K supporters. In the bio of the Instagram account, it reads, "Homeless but Not Voiceless and Sharing wisdom from the streets!"

Today, Merlin uses this platform to educate viewers with basic English lessons.

In a touching caption, Mohamed Ashik introduced her as, "@englishwithmerlin, who's going to be our Instagram English teacher, sharing wisdom and stories from a lifetime of learning." He concluded with a profound message: "Teaching is the art of lighting a fire, and a true teacher should never stop igniting the flames of knowledge, no matter how many candles have been lit."

As the video went viral on the internet, netizens reacted with empathy and admiration for Merlin's strength.

Comments poured in, with one user saying, "She didn't cry during all this; she's strong as ever." Another comment read, "Men of value know how to strike a deal of value! 🔥" and another, "Oh my god, her English! I'm speechless. I feel so sorry for her."

Many users expressed a desire to help Merlin, with one user even requesting her address to provide assistance.
