Adult steals Tennis cap from kid, Kamil Majchrzak tracks him down, watch
There’s nothing quite like the thrill of getting a keepsake from your sports hero, a jersey, cap or wristband can feel like a treasure. Fans cherish these moments, holding onto them with pride and showing them off to everyone. But at Kamil Majchrzak’s US Open victory celebration on August 28, that joy nearly slipped away for one young boy when an adult snatched the tennis star’s autographed cap right from his hands.
The incident unfolded on Court 11 after Kamil’s five-set triumph over Karen Khachanov.
A video has gone viral that shows Kamil signing autographs for fans in the gallery. When a young boy asked for his cap, Kamil handed it over without hesitation. However, within seconds an adult standing nearby grabbed the cap and shoved it into another woman’s bag. The boy, visibly upset, questioned the man: “What are you doing?”

In the commotion, Kamil didn’t notice the cap hadn’t reached its intended owner.
Social media erupted after the video circulated, with netizens sharply criticizing the adult’s behaviour and labelling it as ‘stealing’ from a child.
Determined to ensure the boy received his cap, Kamil took to Instagram, posting screenshots of the video and asking his followers for help in tracking the young fan.
Just hours later, Kamil shared an update, confirming that the boy had been found. “I’m impressed by the power of the internet. We got it! All good now,” he wrote, bringing closure to the chaotic but ultimately heartwarming incident.
Later, Kamil met the young fan and gifted him an autographed cap. He also shook hands and posed with him for pictures.
