Student musically 'urges' lady teacher not to take classes!

Attending classes is a crucial part of the learning process of every student. Face-to-face interaction with teachers, structured learning processes, socialisation and networking provide better access to resources and improve engagement while ensuring better retention and holistic development. However, sometimes, many students wish for a day off from classes. Be it school or college, all days are not the same. While students in Western countries are often seen simply walking out of their classes, such an approach can cause trouble for a student in India. However, recently an old video has resurfaced on social media that shows a student 'musically' urging a lady teacher not to take classes.

In the viral video, several students can be seen sitting inside the classroom as a girl walks inside with her mobile camera turned on. Amongst the students, a boy is seen singing the 'modified version' of 'Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo...'

The modified version of the classical Pakistani song sung by the student is, 'Aaj padhane ki zid na karo...Yun hi kursi pe baithe raho, Aaj padhane ki zid na karo....'

Here's the lyrics further:

'Haye hum toh mar jayenge, hum toh lut jayenge, aisi baatein na kiya karo... Aaj padhane ki zid na karo...Khud hi socho zara, kyun na roke tumhe... tum hi socho zara, kyun na roke tumhe... Jaan jati hai jab mar kar uthate ho tum, Jaan jati hai jab mar kar uthate ho tum... Tumko apni kasam... Zainab madam, Tumko apni kasam... Zainab madam, baat meri itni maan lo. Aaj padhane ki zid na karo..."

Well, the musical presentation of the boy was certainly hilarious. But, his vocals seem to be magical as he perfectly synced his modified lyrics with the tune.

Along with the girl, recording his classmate's musical appeal to their teacher, all of the students enjoyed the performance. While they broke out into laughter with certain words, they recorded the performance on their respective mobiles.

While the source of the video couldn't be verified, it was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Samarjeet, a year back. The video has resurfaced again on the internet, driving netizens crazy. The video has also triggered hilarious comments from the netizens.

Originally, 'Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo...' is a geet written by Pakistani poet Fayyaz Hashmi and composed by Sohail Rana. Noted classical vocalist Habib Wali Mohammad popularised the song and also sang for the hit Pakistani film Badal Aur Bijli (1973). The song was also sung by famous ghazal singer Farida Khanum. Later, it was re-sung by many artists, including famous Indian singer Asha Bhosle, for its melody and profoundly romantic and soul-piercing lyrics. (Information collected from Wikipedia).
