Remember the iconic carrom match scene in Sanjay Dutt-starrer Munna Bhai MBBS? The Rajkumar Hirani directorial went on to become a blockbuster because of many such iconic scenes apart from Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi’s comic timing.

However, the carrom scene inside the hospital where Sanjay Dutt plays with an elderly man left cine-goers teary-eyed inside cinema halls. The scene was one of the reasons why the movie went on to become a classic hit.

Meanwhile, an 83-year-old elderly woman from Pune is reminding fans of the iconic scene. The video shared on social media by her grandson is winning hearts on the internet.

Sharing the video on Twitter, the user Akshay Marathe wrote, “Inspired by my 83-year-old Aaji who won gold in the Doubles and Bronze in the singles in Pune’s All-Magarpatta City carrom tournament against much younger and steadier hands.”

With over 30K views, the video has over 336 likes and several comments.

“Simply superb,” commented a user while another wrote, “Very good and inspiring, big congratulations.”

“This is so cool,” wrote a user while another wrote, “Love to Aaji, she is an inspiration.”

Another user commented, “Mind-blowing. Fantastic. Superb.”

Akshay’s Aaji has rightly proved that age is just a number. What made her achievement even more special was that the 83-year-old beat opponents who were much younger than her.

Akshay also shared a few pictures during his practice session with her grandmother and wrote, “We can take some credit for practising with her although I got destroyed by Aaji.”

Worth mentioning, Akshay is a lawyer by profession and spokesperson of Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP.
