Her Instagram clip captures her experience of connecting with an older Japanese man. Well, at first, it may sound like a romantic catch up, but the reality is far from that. The video begins with Mayrock’s partner for the day Kazushi Sakurai introducing himself.

Unlike any dating app, 58-year-old Kazushi is hired for life advice, financial advice, shopping, playing things, talking if in depression or having a bad day. There are many other such older men who are hired through ‘Ossan Rental’. However, they are not like any romantic dating apps, but are instead focused on life.

Renting an older man might seem weird, but it is actually a way for older generations and younger generations to come together and provide value to each other. Mayrock’s Japanese experience has netizens applauding the unique concept as youngsters these days only focus on dating apps instead of real connection and genuine feelings.

“Incredible, we need to start this for USA!!!❤️” shared a user.

Another user shared, “How about older women? When I was teaching English in Japan, some of my most interesting interactions happened with the elderly students. They showed me a side of Japan I would never have been exposed to otherwise. ❤️”

“Indeed, it is a very innovative way to combat loneliness, depression, and a miriad of other illnesses in the aging population. I love this idea!” shared another user.
