heart attack
Life is often described as unpredictable, but it is only in rare, tragic moments that we truly understand what that means. We make plans, set routines, and believe tomorrow will arrive just as today has but fate can sometimes write a very different script.
A tragic incident in Ajmer has underlined this in the most heartbreaking way. On 13 September 2025, a 40-year-old man, Shankar, died of a sudden cardiac arrest just ten minutes after informing his manager that he wasn’t feeling well.
At 8:37 a.m., Shankar sent a message to his boss, K.V. Iyer, complaining of severe back pain and asking for leave. The request seemed ordinary, and Iyer responded, “Okay, rest well.” But by 8:47 a.m., Shankar had collapsed from a cardiac arrest.
The devastating news reached Iyer around 11 a.m. through a phone call. Initially refusing to believe it, he contacted another colleague for confirmation and rushed to Shankar’s home only to find the tragedy was true.
Shankar, who had worked with the company for six years, was known as a disciplined and 'fit' team member. Married and father to a young child, he avoided alcohol and smoking and was considered to lead a healthy lifestyle making his sudden death all the more shocking.
The heartbreaking news triggered widespread discussions online about hidden health risks. Users pointed out that symptoms like back pain, fatigue, sweating, and nausea are often overlooked as minor issues but can signal cardiac arrest.
One wrote, “Life is truly unpredictable. We must stop fighting over petty things and value people while they’re here.” Another added, “Shocking and deeply tragic. Strength to his family. Om Shanti.”
This incident is a grim reminder that life can change in just minutes.
