In a Reddit post titled “I canceled the interview!”, the anonymous job seeker described being bombarded with messages, emails, and calls over a span of just three days. The recruiter, who was representing a global tech giant, reportedly sent four emails, made 15 phone calls, and fired off 45 text messages — some as late as 10 PM.

“From Monday to Wednesday, this recruiter sent 4 emails, called 15 times, and texted me 45 times,” the post read. “I woke up to late-night texts and finally decided enough was enough.”

Multiple Conversations, Zero Boundaries

Despite already having three phone conversations and completing necessary email exchanges, the recruiter’s outreach did not let up. The job seeker noted that even when they returned one of the recruiter’s persistent calls, a different person answered the phone, further fueling their discomfort and suspicion.

“I contacted the interviewers directly, cancelled the interview, and sent a formal withdrawal email,” the candidate shared. “She still called me twice more after that. I blocked her number. Her behaviour turned me off from the company completely.”
