It is the dream of every job aspirant to earn a handsome salary. However, earning $150,000 (about Rs 1.2 crore) a year isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

Well, a GenZ software engineer with Google has revealed that he works only one hour a day but still earns a whopping amount. That’s not all, the techie known by his pseudonym Devon, has also received a sign-on bonus and is expecting a year-end bonus.

Devon writes codes for the tech giant. According to reports, Devon wakes up at around 9 am to shower and make breakfast and later works until 11 am or noon. Later, he switches to working on his own startup until 9 or 10 pm at night.

Devon counts himself among the thousands of tech workers, who are paid to do nothing. 97% of Google employees call it a great place to work with site of benefits, a quirky campus with bicycles, gyms, free meals and most importantly high salaries.

“If I wanted to work long hours, I’d be at a startup. Most people choose Google because of the work-life balance and benefits. You could work at Apple, but Apple has such fan appeal to software engineers. They work long hours… but at Google, most people know what they’re doing is a job,” said Devon.
