While netizens are waiting for a major tax reform, a netizen has written an open letter to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to put tax on certain things. Although addressed on a light note, the youth’s post has gone viral on social media, triggering hilarious reactions.
Addressing the FM, the youth going by the name Ansh (@Pvt_insaann) on X has presented some special requests to Nirmala Sitharaman to put tax on them, instead of cutting down taxes.

His letter stars with: “Dear Ma’am, Asha Karta Hoon Ki Aap Wahan Pe Kushal-Mangal Hongi. Mai Aapse Budget Anse Se Pehle Ek Appeal Karna Chahta Hun Kuch Khas Logon Aur Cheezon Par Tax Lagana Chahiye.”
His demands included:
1. Gen Z: Mewing aur situationship jaise shabd dil ke bheetar tak chubhte hain. Isliye, put tax on them.
2. Manager: Jo Manager weekend pe phone karte hain, 5 mins boke pura weekend kaam karwate hain, unke upar tax.
3. Airport lounge ko bhandra banana walon par tax. Khana aise khate hai jaise inke card se pure desh ki economy chalti hai.
4. Uncle log jo ‘Good morning’ stickers bhejte hain un par tax. Ek Baar GM acha lagta hai, 101 bar GM stickers bhejne se din acha nahin ho jayega uncle ji.
5. Apne app ko stock market expert bolne walon pe tax.
6. 70hrs aur 90s hours kam karwane walo par 70% tax, please.
