Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)exam is one of the toughest exams in India. Every year thousands of aspirants try their luck to crack the exam. However, only a few of them qualify for the exam with their strong determination, patience, and hard work. One of the few candidates who nurtured the dream to become a Civil Servant and dared to fulfill the dream was IAS Pradeep Singh.

Pradeep not only cracked the exam but topped the 2019 UPSC exam on his fourth attempt. He is an example to those who never stop dreaming till they achieve it despite the failures that come along the way.

Pradeep, born in 1991, is a resident of Sonipat district of Haryana. He did his initial schooling in his native village Tiwari’s government school. After which he went to Sonipat for his higher studies. He passed his 12th standard from Shambhu Dayal Modern School and then pursued an engineering degree from Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal, Sonipat.

After completing his graduation, he took coaching for Staff Selection Commission. He cleared the 2018 UPSC exam and got the rank of IRS officer. But he wanted to become an IAS officer, so he continued his preparation along with his job.

Many times he thought of giving up preparing for the IAS exam but his father was there to motivate him and kept telling him not to lose patience. He then chalked out a plan to utilise his time efficiently to prepare for the UPSC without affecting his work.

Notably, when the result of UPSC came, his friend informed about it by calling him and told :you have topped UPSC'.

When IAS Pradeep Singh told his father Sukhbir Singh that he had got rank one, Sukhbir could not believe it.

Pradeep singh shows that hard work and patience always pay off, you only have to follow it religiously without thinking of the result.
