A newly married Chinese man has become a social media sensation after he revealed that he endures a daily 320km round-trip to work and home for the love of his life. The 31-year-old narrated that the ‘longest commute journey’ was worth it for the ‘love’ of his life – his wife.
Lin Shu from China documented his travel every day to work and back home and his videos have created quite a sensation on social media.
The South China Morning Post revealed that Mr Lin wakes up every day at 5 am. He then gets ready and leaves home at 5:20am. He takes his electric bike for 30 minutes to catch his train to work which leaves at 6:15am. He then arrives at his workplace at around 7:46 am after an almost 1-and-a-half-hour journey. Again Lin has to take a 15-minute underground subway trip to his office.
Later, he gets his breakfast from his company’s canteen and joins work exactly at 9am. After work, Lin once again takes a 3-4 hour ride back home, which is around 160km away from his office.
While social media users expressed shock over his choice to travel such a long journey every day, Lin stated that it was all worth it ‘because of love’.
Through his social media account, Lin revealed that he had been in a relationship for 7 years before he married his ladylove in May this year.
He has bought a flat with his wife and prefers to stay with her instead of taking a house on rent near his office. Before marriage, he had taken a house on rent, but that cost him more than his travel from home. So, he decided to prefer travelling which gives him even more time to spend with his newly-wed wife.
In what comes as good news, his wife is also now looking for a job at his workplace. If things go well, the couple plans to settle there is she successfully lands her job.
Lin’s story has accumulated over 7 million views since being shared online and the number of views and likes are only increasing each passing second.
