Is time travel real? 350-year-old painting with ‘iPhone’ leaves Apple CEO baffled

PUBLISHED: LAST UPDATE:

Different claims have been made about time travel and its reality. Every now and then images surface on the internet which people claim as evidence of time travel. Even people claim that certain images also show time travellers.

Time Travel

The concept of time travel has been presented in several science-fiction movies. The time travel concept gives a glimpse into the past or future and it has been widely admired by movie lovers across the globe. Though any concrete proof is yet to be obtained, the concept really fascinates everyone.

However, different claims have been made about time travel and its reality. Every now and then images surface on the internet which people claim as evidence of time travel. Even people claim that certain images also show time travellers.

If you are a science geek and interested in the concepts of time travel, you must have come across an artwork titled ‘Man Handing a Letter to a Woman in the Entrance Hall’. The painting was done by Dutch painter

and is around 350 years old.

The oil painting shows a domestic scene against the backdrop of one of Amsterdam’s canals. The description of the image suggests that the young man is a messenger and is prepared to hand a letter to the woman sitting down in a chair.

Though the title suggests that the man is holding a letter, several conspiracy theories have speculated that the object in the young man’s hand looks like an iPhone.

Even this drew the attention of Apple CEO Tim Cook.

During a recent press conference, Cook was asked about the painting and he said that he was shocked to see the painting. Further, he also admitted that he was “not so sure” anymore whether Apple is, in fact, the creator of the iPhone.

Daily Star news outlet quoted Cook as saying, “I always thought I knew when the iPhone was invented, but now I’m not so sure anymore.”
At the conference, Cook also showed the photo to the audience and said, "It's tough to see but I swear it's there."

During a trip to Amsterdam in 2016, he found de Hooch's artwork in the Rijksmuseum art gallery.

"There was an iPhone in one of the paintings,” Cook said.

Amid several speculations about time travelling, NASA also agrees that time travel is possible.

A report published in USA Today states that according to NASA, time travel is possible, just not the way you might expect. Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity says time and motion are relative to each other, and nothing can go faster than the speed of light, which is 186, 000 miles per second. Time travel happens through what’s called “time dilation.”

Well, considering NASA’s statement, it can be said that if time travel is possible, then possibly, the previous claims and speculations might have some truth.
