Pilots typically make announcements in English on flights, for the convenience of passengers. The announcements are preferably made in English as it is a widely accepted language, both on domestic and international flights. However, recently a video has stormed the internet in which the pilot makes the announcement in Hindi, just to fulfil a passenger's humble request. Though he hails from South India and is not fluent in Hindi, he kept the passenger's request.

The video shared on Instagram features Captain Pradeep Krishnan, a native from Tamil Nadu. While flying an IndiGo flight from Chennai to Mumbai, a passenger requested him to make the in-flight announcement in Hindi. Though he admits that he is not fluent in Hindi, he gives it a try.

In the video, he says, "Namaskar, mera naam Pradeep Krishnan hai. Mera first officer ka naam Bala hai. Hamara lead ka naam Priyanka hai. Hum aaj Chennai se Mumbai jaayenge, 35,000 mein udayenge, pura distance 1,500 kms hai, pura time one hour ek ghante thirty minutes hai, jaane ke time turbulence hoga, hum seat belt daalenge, main bhi daalenge. Dhanyawad."

Despite the pilot's limited command of the language, his effort to speak in Hindi impressed the passengers and viewers alike.

Sharing the video, Krishnan wrote, “A very sweet passenger asked me to make an announcement in Hindi. I genuinely tried.” (sic)
