Himani Kamble Dabi sacrificed her career for Tina and Ria Dabi

Tina Dabi's mother had successfully passed the UPSC exams and served at Indian Engineering Services as an officer. She was the topper of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. However, to ensure that her two daughters- Tina and Ria fulfill their dream of becoming IAS officers, Himani decided to take voluntary retirement.

During one of the interviews, Himani Dabi said that it is not easy to prepare for IAS exams. Indeed it is very difficult to prepare and then pass the UPSC exams with a good rank so that you can be posted as an IAS officer. Tina Dabi set a brilliant example by passing the Civil Services with flying colours in 2016; now her sister Ria has also repeated the same feat.

Tina Dabi's father is a Central government employee working as an Indian Telecom Service officer. So, now the entire Dabi family has a history of holding top-notch positions in the Central government which is a very rare example.

Although Tina studied at the Lady Sri Ram College of New Delhi University, she preferred working in Haryana after clearing the Civil Services exams because she wanted to work in challenging situations and believed that Haryana had some major issues which she as a Collector will be able to resolve and give justice.
