Remember jilted Rajkumar Rao becoming an IAS officer after his heartbreak with fiancée Aarti portrayed by Kriti Kharbanda. Instead of succumbing to agony, depression, and gloom, he works hard and successfully clears the Union Public Service Exam (UPSC), India's toughest examination.

Some may dismiss this story as mere fiction, but in a real and inspiring tale, a person named Aditya Pandey also cleared the UPSC exam after going through a failed love story.

According to a News 18 report, Aditya Pandey, a resident of Vishunpur Pakri village in Patna, pursued his education at Kendriya Vidyalaya Kankarbagh until the 12th grade. During the 10th grade, he experienced a heart-wrenching breakup with his girlfriend, which left him devastated.

Later he pursued an engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from LPU in Punjab. But Aditya soon realized that his true passion did not lie in engineering.

Fuelled by his desire for personal growth, he pursued an MBA from IIT Roorkee in 2018. And he did a job in ICICI Bank for a brief time before a life-changing decision to leave his banking job and fully devote himself to preparing for the UPSC exam.

Despite failing the UPSC exam thrice, Aditya’s unwavering commitment and perseverance pushed him forward. Undeterred by the setback, he poured all into his preparations for the subsequent attempt.

Aditya’s hard work and determination were rewarded at last as he secured an impressive All India Rank of 48th in the 2022 UPSC exams.
