Groom's family calls off wedding after 'Mutton Bone Marrow' dish found missing from menu

In a bizarre turn of events, a wedding in Telangana was abruptly called off due to a heated disagreement over the absence of mutton bone marrow from the non-vegetarian menu, as decided by the bride's side. 

According to an NDTV report, the bride was from Nizamabad while the groom was from Jagtiyal. 

Reportedly, they were engaged at the bride's residence in November, but the wedding was called off soon after.

For the engagement party, the bride's family had meticulously arranged a non-vegetarian menu, inclusive of family members and the groom's relatives. 

However, the discord arose when guests, particularly the groom's side, noticed the conspicuous absence of mutton bone marrow. Confirming the omission, the bride's family faced criticism, triggering a serious dispute.

Efforts to mediate by the police were in vain, as the groom's family deemed the absence of bone marrow an "insult" and refused to relent.

Accusations surfaced that the bride's family deliberately concealed the information about the menu discrepancy. The situation mirrored a Telugu movie, 'Balagam,' where a similar bone marrow dispute led to the cancellation of a wedding.

Ultimately, the engagement celebration concluded on a sombre note, with the wedding called off by the disgruntled groom's side.
