From YouTube Tutorials to Supercar Dreams: Kerala youth builds Lamborghini replica from scrapyard
From learning to cook exotic dishes to mastering complex engineering, YouTube has transformed into a global classroom for millions. For 23-year-old Arun Prakash from Kerala, it became the ultimate mentor. With no formal training in automobile engineering, Arun turned to online tutorials to chase an audacious dream- building a Lamborghini Huracán replica in his backyard.
In his small village, the sight of a bright-orange Lamborghini-like machine now turns heads. But unlike the Italian original, Arun’s creation was handcrafted using discarded scrapyard parts and an old sedan chassis. Working after hours at a local garage, he sculpted body panels from fiberglass, welded a custom frame, and installed salvaged mechanical components to bring the machine to life.
The project stretched across two years of late-night efforts, countless mistakes, and unshakable persistence. Though his car doesn’t boast a roaring V10 engine, Arun tuned it to mimic the thrill and sound of a real Lamborghini.
“Owning a Lamborghini is impossible for most people here. I wanted to prove you can still make your dream a reality, if you’re ready to build it yourself,” said Arun.
Once completed, the handcrafted Huracán replica became an instant sensation online. Videos of the car went viral, earning Arun admiration from automobile enthusiasts nationwide. Locals often stop to take pictures, some even mistaking it for the real deal before realizing it’s a homemade marvel.
For Arun, the car is not just a machine but a symbol of self-belief. Standing beside his creation, he proudly says, “This is proof that you can learn anything, if you’re willing to put in the work.”
His story underscores how platforms like YouTube are redefining education, turning curiosity into skills, and skills into life-changing innovations.
