The growing tensions between India and Maldives do not seem to end anytime soon. The controversy has reignited again after Mamaearth co-founder Ghazal Alagh tweeted that Mumbai and Nashik are no less than the Maldives.

Sharing an aerial view of Mumbai-Nashik, Ghazal tweeted, “If I told you I was in the Maldives right now, you'd believe me, right? But, I'm actually in a chopper from Mumbai to Nashik.”

She added, “India really is no less than the foreign countries that we aspire to go to. We just need to explore it more.” The former Shark Tank India judge had shot the video while traveling in a chopper.

Since being shared online, the video has garnered mixed reactions from social media users.

“Yeah India!! Many things are still left to explore 🇮🇳💯 Better than any country, anyday,” an X user commented.

Another user wrote, “Amazing! I was a Maldives regular till just when the pandemic hit, but I have been to the Andaman Islands too! Andamans is so beautiful and a good alternative. Other places like Lakshadweep should be made tourist friendly.”

However, a few others tried to troll Ghazal and wrote, “Chopper per baithkar sab achha hi Lagta hai. Just try on Roads with huge traffic then you will understand the Pain. Just try to Board a Train in Deepawali time.”

Another user wrote, “Upar se to Bihar bhi UK se kum nai dikhega, achi try kri apne. Apna desh bahut sunder hai but population and civic sense ki wajah se tourist spots pe kachra ho gya hai.”
