Kiran Rao's 'Laapataa Ladies' is doing wonders on OTT platforms after being released on Netflix.

Recently, the socio-drama movie surpassed Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' in the total number of viewership. Produced by superstar Aamir Khan, the movie is getting loads of love from audience worldwide.

With the Lok Sabha polls going on in full swing, the Election Commission of India (ECI) could not stop itself from using a dialogue from the blockbuster movie to promote voting awareness.

Remember, the popular song 'Sajni Re' sung by the world-famous singer Arijit Singh.

Just before the song, there is a scene where Deepak Kumar proposes Phool with his English. Now, the ECI has replaced the original line "Poori english bolkar dikhayen? (Should I speak full English) I Love You" with "Let's Go Vote."

The post was made ahead of the Phase 6 of the elections, scheduled for May 25. The caption, "This election season take your 'sajni' on a voting date✨," accompanied the post.

After sharing it on X platform, the post went viral on social media, eliciting various reactions.

One user humorously commented, "I had to check if this was the real account 😂," while another suggested, "Hold a press conference after every phase of the elections!" Many people shared laughing emojis in the comments section.

Notably, 'Laapataa Ladies' revolves around the misadventures of two young brides who become separated from the same train. With mistaken identities and hilarious escapades, the chaos in the film promises plenty of laughter and heart-warming moments.
