Doctor turns IPS officer: Meet Navjot Simi- tagged as most beautiful IPS officer

Navjot Simi has been tagged as the most beautiful IPS officer in India, however, many may not know the struggle and sacrifices that Navjot has made to become an IPS officer.

Simi a native of Gurdaspur, Punjab, had a humble upbringing. She is the eldest of three siblings. Her father is a banker while her mother is a homemaker.

According to an AajTaK report, Navjot did her schooling at a government school. Later, she did her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from Baba Jaswant Singh Dental Hospital and Research Institute, Ludhiana. However, due to financial constraints, Simi couldn’t do her Master’s degree in dental surgery.

Reportedly, Simi always wanted to pursue a career in civil services since her childhood. With her parents' support, Simi began coaching for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in New Delhi.

In her first attempt in 2016, she was able to clear the writer exam but couldn’t qualify for the interview round. 

However, she qualified for Punjab Punjab Civil Service (PCS) and was working as a trainee officer but, she didn’t give up her UPSC preparations. 

Simi was able to crack the 2017 UPSC exams with her sheer dedication and hard work.

After completing her IPS training, Navjot Simi got Bihar cadre and is currently posted as Patna’s DSP.
