Diwali Gift! Chennai company gifts 28 cars including Mercedes Benz to employees

In a move to boost the morale and productivity of its employees, a Chennai-based company rewarded its employees in an innovative way. As a gesture of appreciating their work, a structural design company gifted its employees two-wheelers and four-wheelers worth Rs 3.5 crore. The company gifted 29 bikes and 28 cars, including a Mercedes Benz.

The structural steel design and detailing company, Team Detailing Solutions presented a variety of brand new cars ranging from Hyundai, Tata, Maruti Suzuki and Mercedes Benz to its workers as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

The Managing Director of the company, Sridhar Kannan conducted ‘Ayudha pooja’, the south-Indian festival that falls on the ninth day of Navratri before Dussehra. At the event, Kannan presented the cars to employees working with the company for more than nine years and two-wheelers to workers associated with the firm for over seven years. 

Employees and their families were invited to the event where he presented the Diwali gifts. According to Kannan, the company started with just four employees in 2005. Currently, the number of workers has grown to 180.

Kannan said, "We wanted to show our appreciation for their (employees) tireless efforts in driving the company's success. We believe our employees are our greatest assets."

"So far we have gifted 30 employees with cars and 74 workers with two-wheelers. All those working here are from rural backgrounds. Their lives have been uplifted and we want to improve their standard of living by giving them bikes and cars. They have travelled with me for several years and I wanted to take care of them. They trusted me and the company,” he added.

Moreover, Kannan also said that the company provides assistance to employees during marriage. While earlier Rs 50000 was provided as a marriage incentive, the amount has been increased to Rs 1 lakh from this year.
