Traffic woes continue to mar Karnataka capital Begaluru as the city emerged as the second slowest city in the world to drive in.

According to a report released by a Dutch multinational developer and location technology creator, TomTom, it takes approximately 29 minutes to cover just 10 km in Bengaluru.

London emerged top on the list with an average of time of 36 minutes and 20 seconds to cover 10 km.

Ireland's capital- Dublin, Sapporo in Japan and Milan in Italy ranked third, fourth and fifth respectively on the list.

While Pune stood at sixth spot, national capital Delhi ranked 34th on the list. Similarly, Mumbai was ranked 47th.

After Bengaluru achieved the dubious distinction, internet was flooded with comments.

“Traffic in Bangalore is so slow.. you can meet someone in traffic, start dating and break up before you reach your destination!,” an Instagram user wrote. (sic)

“The city needs repair... It needs new look... Karnataka cities like Bengaluru, belgaum are highest amongst tax payers .. don't know where the money is going? City is not developing nor jobs and proper salar, infrastructure etc,” another user commented. (sic)

“Lockdown ke time car leke nikla tha, abhi tak pahucha nahi hai!,” a third user wrote. (sic)
