Bengaluru auto driver detained after manhandling and slapping girl for cancelling ride, watch
A disturbing video of an auto-rickshaw driver went viral on social media on Thursday. The video showed the auto driver verbally abusing a girl and slapping her after she cancelled her ride. After the video went viral, Police have detained the 46-year-old auto driver. As per latest update, he has been arrested initiating action for the committed offence.
As per reports, Magadi Road Police in Bengaluru tracked R Muthuraj and detained him after the video went viral and sparked outrage among netizens.
The girl responds by saying, "Why are you shouting?" (in Hindi)
After repeatedly asking the girl the same question, the auto driver says, "Tere baap ne dia hai kya gas?"
To this, the girl replies back 'No'.
Though the girl tries to explain that it was not a big deal as his auto was just a minute away from her location, the driver seems to be in no mood to accept her clarification. He gets annoyed and raises his voice.
After constantly being misbehaved, the girl warns her to go to the Police. To this, the auto driver carelessly says, "Haan aajao."
As he steps out of the second auto, he says, "Chal, police ke pass chal."
Next, he murmurs in his local language.
Meanwhile, the girl continues, "Don't you cancel our ride?"
The argument between the duo intensifies and the auto driver loses his cool. Suddenly, he attacks the girl's mobile.
The next visual shows him arguing with a third person in the local language. Though the second auto driver tries to pacify the first one, he seems to be in no mood to compromise. Meanwhile, he continues to ask the girl to come to the police station. However, the girl says, it's her choice whether she will go to the police station or not and she won't come with him. She even asks, why did he slap her.

However, the argument didn't stop.
While the origin of the video couldn't be verified, it has gone viral all over social media triggering outrage.
The girl and her friend took to social media and shared the video of the entire incident that they captured on mobile phone.
After the video gained traction on social media, Ola Support responded, "This sounds quite alarming.. Don't worry we are here to help you with this."
However, the girl voiced her frustration with Ola stating, "Thankfully, my driver managed to get us away. But, Ola's response has been disappointing. After reporting the incident via app, we received only an automated reply. Attempts to reach their support line failed, leaving us frustrated and helpless."
On the other hand, ADGP Alok Kumar responded, "Such behaviour is unacceptable. (A) few people like him give (the) auto drivers community a bad name. Have informed the concerned to take appropriate action."
Later, DCP West Bengaluru said, "The auto driver has been apprehended by Magadi Road Police. Action is being initiated for the offence committed as per law."
