WhatsApp, the messaging app owned by Meta, is adding a screen-sharing feature to improve the video calling experience.

This new feature allows Android beta testers to share their screens during video calls, making communication more interactive and collaborative.

Here is how this feature enhances WhatsApp's video calling capabilities.

Screen Sharing on WhatsApp

WhatsApp users can now enjoy the new screen-sharing feature for video calls bringing more excitement to the platform.

The feature is currently being tested by Android beta users, specifically in the latest beta version- WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.11.19.

With this addition, users can expect a dynamic and engaging video calling experience.

How Screen Sharing Works

WhatsApp's screen sharing feature is designed with user-friendliness in mind. During a video call, users will see a new icon in the call control view, making it easy to start screen sharing.

By selecting this option, the user's screen content will be instantly shared with the recipient.

This feature opens up various possibilities, such as sharing presentations, collaborating on documents, or providing remote technical support.

Importantly, users have full control over the screen-sharing process. They can stop sharing their screen at any time during the call, ensuring privacy and flexibility.

Updates and User Interface Changes

Apart from the screen-sharing feature, the WhatsApp beta update 2.23.11.19 for Android also introduces subtle changes to the user interface.

Specifically, the layout of the bottom navigation bar has been rearranged.

Users will now see the tabs organised as Chats, Calls, Communities, and Status.

This revamped navigation structure is aimed at enhancing the user experience by making it easier to navigate between different sections of the app and improving overall accessibility.
