The Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp has been in the news constantly due to its user-friendly features.

Now, WhatsApp is introducing another new feature; the ability to reply to and react to images and videos using shortcuts.

According to reports from WABetaInfo, this feature is currently being tested by some beta users and will soon be available to all users.

The aim of this feature is to provide a more immediate and intuitive way for users to interact with multimedia content, allowing them to stay focused on the media while quickly expressing their reactions and replies.

With this update, users will have access to two new shortcuts when viewing photos, videos, and GIFs directly from the media viewer screen.

These shortcuts are conveniently located at the bottom of the screen. The first shortcut allows users to reply to messages easily by displaying a new reply bar, while the second shortcut enables quick reactions to messages.

By integrating these shortcuts, WhatsApp aims to enhance user interaction by streamlining the process and making it more user-friendly.

Additionally, WhatsApp is also rolling out a status privacy confirmation feature and working on a feature that allows users to choose a cover photo for events, as reported by WABetaInfo.
