Popular instant communication app WhatsApp is currently down for thousands of users in India. Many users are facing problems in sending messages through the app owned by the American company Meta Platforms.

Outage detection website DownDetector reportedly confirmed that WhatsApp is not working for thousands of users. 

Many users took to their Twitter handles to know about the WhatsApp outage. It also triggered a meme fest on the microblogging site.

Meanwhile, Meta Company Spokesperson said, "We're aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we're working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible.
