WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging app owned by Meta, is making the user experience better by adding new features.

A recent report states that WhatsApp is introducing a password reminder feature for Android and iOS users.

What is Password Reminder Feature?

The password reminder feature in WhatsApp helps users verify the accuracy of their encrypted backups.

It allows users to confirm their chosen password, ensuring that their backups are securely protected.

Users can choose a personal password or a unique 64-digit encryption key.

This high level of encryption ensures that neither WhatsApp nor the backup service providers (Apple and Google) can access the encrypted backups or the decryption key.

Secure Your Backups with Ease

The password reminder feature in WhatsApp prompts users to enter the password they set to encrypt their backups on Google Drive and iCloud.

This helps users verify the accuracy of their password.

If users forget their password, they can easily disable encrypted backups and set a new password.

WhatsApp is also working on a sticker-maker tool that allows users to create stickers from their own images.

The upcoming feature, utilising iOS 16 APIs, automatically extracts the subject from an image and converts it into a sticker within the app.

This eliminates the need for third-party applications to create stickers.

The in-app sticker maker tool is currently in development and will be released in a future WhatsApp update.

Creating Stickers Made Simple

WhatsApp's introduction of these new features showcases its dedication to improving the user experience and offering convenient personalisation tools.

With the ability to secure backups and create cu6stom stickers within the app, WhatsApp strengthens its position as a top messaging platform, providing users with enhanced control and customisation options.
