If you are one among such who find it messed to balance both the work, here is an innovation that could help you achieve your fitness goals while doing laundry work.
Washing clothes is an essential household chore which you certainly can't afford to miss out. Realising the necessity of her family, and being sick and tired of washing the dirty clothes with her hands, Remya Jose hailing from Kerala had invented a machine with her tech skills with which you can do exercise by pedalling and washing clothes simultaneously.
Tired of washing clothes by hand every day, Remya Jose from Kerala India 🇮🇳the young innovator at 14 went ahead and invented the washing-cum-exercise machine that uses pedalling, as opposed to electricity, to wash and dry the clothes. pic.twitter.com/Ie9TB2jp0a— Erik Solheim (@ErikSolheim) April 23, 2022
The machine uses pedalling for washing clothes. Moreover, you can also get your clothes dry with the same procedure.
By using this machine, you can certainly reduce the figures on electricity bill as well as stay fit.
Jose hails from Kizhattoor Panchayat in Malappuram district and she had invented the machine at the age of 14. Her father is a high school teacher while her mother is the headmistress of an Upper primary school.
What led to the invention?
Though being a meritorious student and scoring over 90% in her board exams, she had to do the laundry work.
This forced her to invent the new way to deal with both the work. However, post her invention at the age of 14, she didn't stop her inventions.
After her 10th, she chose 12th in the science stream. She represented her school at various science fairs and won prizes for making a still model of a transmission tower for mobile phones and for a working model of an indigenous casserole which conserves heat, and also worked as a thermal cooker.
For her 12th standard practical examinations, she created a model of a refrigerator in which vegetables, fruits etc., would remain fresh for a week.
For her innovation, she was awarded with an award of appreciation in the 3rd National Grassroots Innovation.
Jose dreams to become a doctor and wants to do research in medicine.
As Jose says, “Whatever you have in mind, try it. Don’t worry about making mistakes, they can surely be corrected.”
These inspiring words from the girl certainly have the potential to make any tech-freak realise and go for innovations.
