Many people use the shortcut Alt + F4 to shut down their PCs and laptops. 

However, this method does not completely turn off the system, as some processes may continue running in the background.

First, check how many days your system has been on without a proper shutdown.

To do this, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager. Click on the "Performance" tab, and you will see the date and time your system has been running in the background. It is important to address this issue.

To properly shut down your system, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Control Panel on your computer.

2. Click on "Power Options."

3. Select “Choose what the power buttons do.”

4. Click on “Change settings that are currently unavailable.”

5. Uncheck the option for “Turn on fast startup.”

6. Click on “Save changes.”
