Recently, they have made Gemini Live, a two-way conversational AI feature, available free to all Android users.

Gemini Live was first introduced at Google I/O in May and was initially only available to Gemini Advanced subscribers.

Now, it is being rolled out to all Gemini users on Android devices. This feature allows users to have natural conversations with the chatbot directly on their devices.

Announcing this on X, Google informed, “We’re starting to make Gemini Live available in English to more people using the Android app for free. Go Live to communicate with Gemini, explore new topics, or brainstorm ideas. Keep an eye on Gemini Live with the Gemini app.”

How to Set Up Gemini Live on Your Android Phone:

  1. Open the Gemini App on your device.

  2. Look for a new circular waveform icon with a sparkle in the bottom right corner of the app and tap on it.

  3. A window will appear with "Hold" and "End" buttons. To end a conversation, tap the "Notification" or just say ‘Stop’.

  4. After the conversation ends, the AI will generate a textual transcript of your prompts.

The feature also keeps a history of all your conversations, so you can review or restart them as needed.
