Traditionally, Apple uses this event to introduce its latest iPhone models and ecosystem devices, including the Apple Watch and AirPods.

This year, however, there might also be new iPad mini and iPad 11th generation models on the horizon.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple tends to reduce inventory of products that are about to be updated.

With many iPhone models, Apple Watches, and AirPods already low in stock, and iPad mini inventory also running low, it is a strong indication that a new iPad mini could be coming soon.

A report from 9To5Mac supports this, suggesting that Apple may unveil a new entry-level 11th generation iPad and an updated iPad mini this month.

The iPad mini, last updated in 2021, has missed out on recent advancements seen in other iPad models. Expect the new iPad mini to feature a landscape-oriented front camera and support for the Apple Pencil Pro.

While a major design overhaul is unlikely, the seventh generation iPad mini could receive a significant performance upgrade with the latest Apple Silicon.

Similarly, the entry-level iPad for 2024 is expected to maintain its current design but could see incremental performance improvements.
