If you want to drive any vehicle, you need to have a valid driving license. Your driving license is also useful as proof of address. Therefore, if you have moved to a new permanent address it is important to update your driving license address.

So, here’s the step-by-step guide on how to change your driving license address online.

To begin with, you'll need to gather some documents. The documents you need include your Form 33 application, your registration certificate, proof of your new address, a valid insurance certificate, a pollution control certificate, a financer's no objection certificate (if you have one), a Smart Card fee, an attested copy of your PAN card or Form 60 and Form 61 (as applicable), your chassis and engine pencil print, and your signature identification.

Now, let's move on to the steps for changing your driving license address online:

Step 1: Go to the Official site of Parivahan Sarathi websites (https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in).

Step 2: Here you have to choose your state from the list.

Step 3: Click on the 'Apply for Change of Address' option from the menu that says 'contactless driving license services'.

Step 4: Click the 'continue' button on the 'Instructions for Application Submission' page.

Step 5: Fill in your driving license number, date of birth, and captcha code, and click on the 'get DL details' button.

Step 6: Choose "Change of Address" from the list of services.

Step 7: Enter your new address and captcha code, then hit the submit button.

Step 8: Print the page with your application number on it.

Step 9: Upload all the required documents and pay the fee.

Step 10: When you see the acknowledgment message after a successful payment, select the "Print Receipt” option.

Double-check that everything on the receipt is correct.

It's important to update your address to avoid any legal problems.
