iPhone user locates friends within 60 metres with Apple's new Ultra-Wideband technology, know here

Apple recently introduced the latest iteration of its iconic iPhone, the iPhone 15 series. With this new release, several noteworthy features have been incorporated.

One notable addition to the iPhone 15 series is the second-generation Ultra-Wideband chip. This innovative feature allows users to pinpoint the location of their friends within a range of 60 metres.

A user on the X platform named Jorai Laurenceo shared this information regarding Apple's announcement.

It provides on-screen directions and distance information to guide users directly to their friends' locations.

For the Find My Friends function, Apple has introduced Precision Finding.

This feature can be employed when you want to locate a friend who has shared their location with you.
To activate it, users simply have to select the desired friend within the Find My app.

Once enabled, the user will see the "Find: Nearby" button on your friend's details card. As you move closer to your friend's location, the distance and directional arrow will continuously update.

To enable Precision Finding, follow these steps on your iPhone 15:

1. Open the Find My app, located in the bottom menu.
2. Tap the "People" section and select the name of the friend you wish to meet.
3. If you and your friend have not previously shared your locations, you may need to initiate location sharing or request their location.
4. Once you have received and accepted their location, you will be able to view your friend's location on the map. If you are not in close proximity, select the nearest location. If you are already near each other, notify your friend to help them locate you. As you get closer, the arrow will point in their direction.
5. Once you have successfully located the person you are looking for, tap the "Close" button.
