WhatsApp is a well-known messaging app that individuals use to keep in touch with friends, family, and colleagues.

But, some folks have two phone numbers, one for personal use and one for professional use, and they would like to utilise both numbers on a single device.

Fortunately, there are numerous ways to use two WhatsApp accounts on one phone.

Here are some of these methods and easy-to-follow instructions.

Clone or Dual App Feature

Several Android phones have a dual app or clone feature, which goes by various names depending on the phone manufacturer.

For instance, Samsung phone users can access the "Dual Messenger" feature in the phone's settings, which will enable them to create a duplicate app.

Realme, OnePlus, and Oppo have App Cloner; Vivo has App Clone, and Xiaomi has Dual Apps in their settings menu.

The best part of the clone or dual app feature is that you can create duplicate applications for any app on your smartphone, not just for WhatsApp.

This means that you can also use it for Facebook or any other app you desire.

Third-Party App

To use two WhatsApp accounts on your phone, first check if your phone has a clone or dual app feature

  1. If not, you can download a third-party app called "Parallel App - Dual App Cloner" from the Google Play Store.
  2. Once installed, give it basic permissions like notification access and phone storage.
  3. Then add any app by tapping on the "+" button.
  4. Select WhatsApp, and it will create a duplicate app that you can set up with your phone number and verification code.
  5. If you are logging into an old account, you can restore your backup.
  6. Enter your profile name and other details to get started.
  7. To begin, input your profile name and other necessary information.

That's it, and now you can use two different WhatsApp accounts on one device.

Note: It is generally a good practice to use third-party applications from authentic sources. However, it is important to be cautious of applications such as APKs that are not available on the official app store or Google Play Store. It is crucial to ensure that you never download an APK from an untrusted source, regardless of how important the application may be.

WhatsApp Business App

To use two WhatsApp accounts on one phone without a clone app, one can download the WhatsApp Business app and create an account with a different number.

Both Android and iOS users can avail of this option.

However, it's important to note that WhatsApp does not allow the use of the same number for both the regular and business apps at the same time.

You will be logged out from one of them once you log in to either of them.

Using two WhatsApp accounts on a single smartphone requires the use of two different phone numbers.

Keep in mind that if you use the business app to chat with friends and family, your privacy may be compromised.

Facebook has confirmed that business chats are not end-to-end encrypted and will be used across its services to offer better ads to users.
