In today's time, WhatsApp has become one of the most popular messaging applications with millions of active users all over the world.

While the app has many security options to protect the privacy of its users, one feature that is preferred by most users is the WhatsApp lock.

WhatsApp also offers TouchID, FaceID, and fingerprint unlock to its users to further enhance their privacy.

Enabling Fingerprint Unlock on WhatsApp:

To enable fingerprint unlock on WhatsApp, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open WhatsApp settings.
  2. Tap Privacy and select Fingerprint lock.
  3. Click on "Unlock with fingerprint."
  4. A pop-up window will appear, asking you to confirm your fingerprint by touching the fingerprint sensor.
  5. Choose when you want WhatsApp to automatically lock - immediately, after 1 minute, or after 30 minutes.
  6. You can also choose to show content in notifications after locking WhatsApp.

Note for Android users:

The fingerprint lock feature is only available on Android devices that support fingerprint sensors running Android 6.0+ version that supports the Google fingerprint API.
